Customized teaching methods

At Music School The Hague, we understand that every student is unique. Some learn to make music with notes, while others learn by listening to music. In your first few weeks of lessons, we assess which learning style suits you best. Then we utilize the teaching method that fits you the most. This way, you’ll quickly learn to recognize and reproduce the structure of music!

Music for all ages

Our teachers specialize in teaching all age groups. Many music schools only accept students aged 8 and older. At Music School The Hague, children younger than 7 are also welcome because the younger you are, the easier it is to learn! We have extensive experience with this target group and also teach them to play an instrument. We do this according to the Suzuki method, where parent and child receive lessons together

Richard Surie

Is the founder and director of Music School The Hague and Zoetermeer. Richard started singing at the age of 4 and has been on stage since he was 6. He specializes in teaching singing, piano, (bass) guitar, and writing and composing original songs. Lastly, he provides workshops and children’s parties

Vinoj Yoghi

He is an experienced drummer and can translate music notes into fun exercises. He started drumming at the age of 10 and took lessons at Drumschool Cleuver. Eventually, he also taught lessons there himself. Vinoj is a technical drummer and teaches in all music styles, from pop to funk-jazz

Marialena Politi

She is a classical voice and piano teacher. She has collaborated with the National Opera of Greece, the Dutch Bach Choir, the Opera group ‘The Fat Lady,’ and more… Her specialties include teaching voice and piano using techniques that suit your level and needs

Koen van der Linden

He is a true Hague Jazz pianist and singer. He started playing the piano at the age of 10 and entered the Jazz scene at the age of 16. Two years later, he enrolled at the Royal Conservatoire.
